I'm looking to replace my current vehicle (Renault Duster). It's old and is starting to give me expensive problems. I want a vehicle with decent ground clearance like most SUV's have. Even a cross model may work?

Price: max R400k (second hand with low mileage is ok)
As light as possible on fuel.
Must have an automatic variant.

Check out the chery tiggo 4 pro, 400k new top of the range. Best value for money in the segment.

I checked out a Chery Tiggo 4 pro with my dad in law. its incredible value for money, well made, comfy. I honestly cant find anything close to it. 5 Yr warranty and 10 yrs on the engine.

Its backed by SMG and is selling at such numbers, there will definately be a dealer network and backup probably better than Renault.

I'm also in the market for a new vehicle.
I'm driving a 2021 Honda B-rv

On my list of considerations:
-New Shape B-RV
-Suzuki Ertiga
-Haval H6
-Honda C-RV (theres a new model comming out though)
-toyota rush?

I'm out of Ideas. Currently I'm rooting for the Honda

I had a renault in the past. Had bad experiences when it came to after sales service aswell as technical problems so I'm avoiding it at all cost

Come to think of it I had not 1 single problem with the honda in 2 years.

-New Honda brv is too expensive unless you want a bottom of the range one.
-The ertiga is a model too low rather look at the vitara brezza it's exactly the same as the Toyota urban cruiser. Made in the same shop but those cars are noisy and slow.
-haval jolion is at the same level as the brv and the same price so it's expensive and thirsty but it's really nice.
-Cr-v is crazy expensive you are looking at a 5 year old car if you want a crv at 400k.
Honda wvr is just a high car, way too small.
-Kia sonet is a really nice car and the best looking in my opinion but then you are stuck with a 1.5l or a 1l turbo and both are slow. The hyundai venue has the same issue.
-Mahindra xuv300 has the power but a little boot.

I have just been through this so please go test drive them then go look at the chery tiggo 4 pro Elite SE. On a different level.

I would be interested to see where you land.

-My mind is still stuck on the Haval H6 luxury
-Honda B-rv
-Honda C-RV

I narrowed it down to those 3

I'm not a cherry tiggo or jolion dan tbh

I had a smaller budget of R250k and got myself a 2014 Volvo XC 90, 125000km. I'm super happy with the decision.

It isn't self driving or parking, and doesn't have a big flat infotainment system like some very recent cars but does so many things right. Plus loads of space, safety and comfort. At R400k you'll get something even better.

I took your advice and test drove the cherry tiggo 4 and 7

Guess what I bought

What's the mileage on your duster? I'm considering getting one myself.

Not sure about the OP, but my wife has a 2014 1.5dCi Duster (bought new). It has around 120 000 km and it has had no major mechanical issues.

I still believe it offers some of the best value for money.
