Sybaritic Stupidity

Ok, i decided to upgrade, and because comx didnt have the stock i needed i decided to buy it from sybaritic. I ordered a motherboard, cpu and ram. The motherboard and ram they had in stock, and once i had placed my order and payed they told me it would take an extra week because the cpu (which they had labeled as a HOT ITEM) had to come from their supplier and they didnt have stock. Ok, thats fine i guess, a little irritating that they dont tell you before, but all's good. On the afternoon of the day before they were supposed to dispatch it (this is after a weeks wait), i got this email (this is our correspondence)

So, all is fine and dandy... i will have to wait another extra week for my stuff, but i will be getting an upgrade over what i ordered to compensate. great. I send an email this morning just to check that everythig is ok, and here we go again.

So. I wasted 2 weeks ordering this, much hassle, much anticipation, and ive got nothing to show for it. This will be the last time i try buy anything from them, my friends have said it took a while, i gave them the oppertunity to prove them wrong, and they have failed patheticly.
 
LAME! I've never ordered from them, but wanted to recently.. just to spite them, i'll get it elsewhere!
 
Why do you even buy from them? I find them incredibly expensive on a lot of items. Especially for an online store....
 
Yea well, every shop have their issues i guess. I've had good experiences with Sybaritic mostly. I do however shop around for the cheapest prices and specific items, sometimes it's sybaritic, sometimes it's take2 etc etc.

The thing i'd notice here, more so than any other online store is the amount of personal interaction you've had....clearly a bit of mis-communication though.

Be glad it wasn't MTN, they would've billed you double , sent you the wrong items AND never tell you about it.

I've bought from them in the past and have had nothing but good experience with them.
 
I have ordered from them a couple of times and so far no problems, I also shop around and everything I bought from them was the cheapest price I could find. Just guess you had bad luck, can happen at any shop.
 
Yeah, Sybaritic has always offered me excellent service. Even when I make mess-ups with my orders, they are very helpful in sorting the situation out.

Sybaritic.

Basically the main online shops I use are Sybaritic, Prophecy, Zaps, Take 2. I compare prices between those 4 shops and buy from the cheapest. Majority of the time Sybaritic has been the cheapest for me.
 
No issues with any of my purchases from Sybaritic either. As an example, I ordered an ADSL router last Thursday (paid for it after they'd confirmed the stock that same day) and it was delivered on the Monday morning.

Perhaps it would've helped to email them upfront and request that they confirm the stock on the items before placing the order? I do that and it saves on these misunderstandings
 
Received good service from Sybaritic so far, no complaints.
 
So. I wasted 2 weeks ordering this, much hassle, much anticipation, and ive got nothing to show for it. This will be the last time i try buy anything from them, my friends have said it took a while, i gave them the oppertunity to prove them wrong, and they have failed patheticly.

I'm still buying from the clowns because their low postage but yeah they screw you around quite a bit, same story but with the SideWinder mice being the original, X3 and X5. At least the refunds are quick.

I placed a small order this week, on Wednesday, was hoping to be shipped yesterday, but got an email saying it was delayed and will probably ship today, which means I'll only get it on Monday :(

BUT - since Wednesday, I have had 10 emails giving me updates on the order, so I knew exactly what was happening every step of the way... haven't had this sort of communication from any retailer...

Also, price was the cheapest I could find on X10 products.
 
may i be the troll who says that this could all have been avoided if you went with intel :D
 
Just relaying my problem... I'm a bit dissappointed to day the least. But yeah, ill concede that they have good stock and good prices, and they tend to reply to emails. But if thats the way the owner handles problems when they arise, i will take my business elsewhere.
