You see if you work physically you may be tired. If only there was something you could do…to only work more reasonable hours and if laws could only protect you.

If they are being exploited they should make a case. The striking is a hostile money grab by people who are very easily replaceable. This is a private business not 1 of those socialist fails, these workers should go work in state jobs.

Yes.. Or move to a rich country that pays better for physical labour and trades (which is out of reach for most).
It's always interesting to meet someone who does scaffolding work, or brick laying or truck driving, or policeman in the UK, Aus or US and you compare their income to SA guys. You can actually have a very decent income. Way too hard here, supply and demand and all that.
 
Takealot getting very slow on deliveries lately. Last four orders had about a week lead time. Some longer.
 
I see takealot and MRD delivery guys now have electric bicycles, saw them yesterday in fourways. When did they get those?

Agreed there is no place for racisim, but Takealot can't just fire the manager like they are demanding. Someone would have to lay an actual complaint with HR with supporting evidence and wait for HR to investigate. If Takelaot does not take the complaint seriously or the employees feel the investigation was a wash, then the workers need to approach the CCMA.

But it seems like no one has explained this to these workers.
 
Takealot is proudly Naspers.
I think Rupert knows what he's doing by showing the R111mil loss.
They have plenty new gigantic warehouses, and why would they want to be taxed on a big profit.
Outsourcing is also beneficial.
Why can't it just be straight up, it's month there's no permanent position, take it or leave it. There shouldn't be false hope. Just set the expectation up front.
Naspers is also 49% Dutch, so half that money's going out anyway.

Naspers also own part of TenCent, yet their reported ecomm sales figures are so low.

This stuff is crazy

People also need to take responsibility for their own education. They can't expect everything to just be handed to them and then complain when it isn't. A quick Google search on how to handle racism in the workplace gives you the information you need in the first 5 results, along with people you can contact to assist you.
