TCL TVs

So the wife has decided it's time to upgrade the TV in the bedroom. Currently using an old 42" LG plasma which is still working fine but it's time for something larger.

We've settled on going for a 55".

I'm incline to give TCL a go but she needs convincing.

Anyone want to give some reasons why TCL over a Samsung or LG? And then which 55" TCL to go for?

can't really find any reviews online, also everything looks better then my 10 years old LG....

They have seriously upped the game at this price range it seems. About damn time too! HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Throw in a little Onkyo for sound. I'm amped up! This is my price range.

If it shows limited stock available, you're probably not going to get it at those prices at a hi-fi corp. Unless you stay in some far away place. Incredible and Hi-Fi corp loving doing this.
Though in this case I maybe wrong as I just did a stock check and they actually have stock in Gauteng.

People, you can phone a store near you and ask nicely if they can check on their system for stock.

Wait, am I missing something? I thought you were joking but I'm seeing more reactions to your post. Is there a way to check their stock beforehand, online directly?
 
Is c6K the latest range? Also looking at a TCL... I also like the Google TV system vs others...

I got a similar LG, just gave up about 2 weeks about. Power light just comes on and flashes slowly. Apparently its a power board problem. Looking at a TCL as well. They seem to be really good from what I have researched so far, especially the price point. Good Luck!

Yeah on the website, it literally says check stock availability

Had that on my Hisense, they came and replaced my board.

Oh there it is! I just checked on their sister store IC. I last bought online from there in 2022, I don't think they had the feature back then?
