TCL TVs

I bought the 75" C755 for the bedroom and this morning it dropped the 5GHZ wifi and refuses to connect again. It can see it but just refuses to connect. Reset the router, changed control channels, reset the TV but nothing. All other devices connect to the router on 5GHZ. Can we not catch a break from Chinese junk????

Can you not use 2.4ghz?

I can but I dont want to because I have 1gbs on 5GHZ and I stream with Stremio. It was working fine so I refuse to settle for less after the fact.
5ghz is a tricksy thing sometimes.
I've had plenty of issues with devices across the board. Maybe just try 2.4 for a bit?
What I do is try clear the arp cache

Yeah tried everything at this point.....Literally mid stream the no network popup came up and that was it, no connection to 5GHZ again......crazy.....I guess you get what you pay for when you go Chinese.....will have to just suck up the cost and go Samsung or something that actually works

Nah you'll have issues with that, especially since it's not running android.
Rather get a TV box and forget smart tvs

Still...I have 15 devices connected via 5GHZ at the moment and never had an issue with any one of them except the TCL...if it doesn't come right it will have to go back to Guangdong or wherever lol

You sure you're not at a device limit?

You would also need to look at your router to confirm the issue isn't there in terms of device capacity or something like that..

Disconnect a few other 5ghz devices and see if the TV connects then..

This or the channel changed to one the TV doesn’t like

Yeah, this was one of the first things I had trouble shooted, but it still didn't fix the issue.....it just randomly started working again with no changes to the TV or router, so who knows. It's just odd that only the TCL had the problem.

You refuse to settle for less but you buy a Low quality instead on an LG? doesnt make sense.

This TV Breaks All the Rules | 2025 TCL QM6K Unboxing - Digital Trends

The TCL QM6K is breaking all the rules—starting with its shockingly fast release. Announced at CES just weeks ago, this is the first 2025 TV you can already buy.

It’s packed with high-end features at an unheard-of price. With QD Mini-LED tech, 500 local dimming zones, and a 144Hz panel, it brings premium performance without the premium cost.

Plus, we’re doing something totally new—taking real-time measurements straight from the unboxing. This is an unprecedented launch, and we’re diving in to see just how far TCL has pushed the limits.

I Didn’t Expect It to Be This Good | TCL QM6K TV Review - Digital Trends

The TCL QM6K is the first 2025 TV to hit the market, and it’s making waves. With its impressive color accuracy, solid black levels, and smooth performance, it delivers incredible value for its price.

While it doesn’t reach the peak brightness of some competitors, its out-of-the-box picture quality is among the best for under $1,000. TCL’s strategy of launching this TV early has put them in the spotlight, and it’s a strong contender for one of the best mid-range TVs this year.

If you’re looking for a new TV now, this might just be the best option available.

I am looking for some advice, I want to get a TV (65 Inch) around the R10-15k range, closer to 10k would be nice but willing to stretch it a bit.

currently the TCL C655 and Toshiba Z670MN looks like nice offerings. Are they good for watching content, I am more interested in HDR movie type thing than Gaming etc.

I also don't have any idea what makes a monitor great. I know OLED is the end all be all but they look really expensive.

Just go into a store and view them side by side. OLED looks great but is not suited for every room.

A lot of this depends on your requirements, the environment, what features you need and how you plan to use it.

I see TCL are promoting their new tv ranges in south africa.
I must say the c6k looks very good, and I have been saving ebucks for a while now for a new tv/
Does anyone have it?
can't really find any reviews online, also everything looks better then my 10 years old LG....
