Telkom 10mb uncapped - why so expensive?

So I had telkom come around offering me fiber, naturally I jumped at it without doing any home work only to realise that I am being ripped. :sick:

10mb uncapped with free installation and modem - R1200 pm. . . At the time I did the math and its about what I am paying so I figured why not. But I see you can get a 10mb uncapped cheaper almost everywhere else.

I want to try cancel, I did try call them but the application hadn't been processed yet, I see I got an sms today saying it is processed. So I guess I am going to fight.

What I don't get is this. How can Telkom be charging so much more than the others?? I was stupid to think that their prices would be competitive. :sick::mad:

Its Telkom... *wags a finger* You should know better by now.

Also, check if there is any other fibre providers in the area. You might be able to change ISP to them...

Good luck telling Telkom to stick it though!

The "Everwhere else" usually has low FUP. With uncapped you get what you pay for. What's your usage like?

Are you saying that through telkom might actually yield better performance?

I go through about 400GB a month. Netflix + PS4 downloads.

Yeah with that usage you'll need at least an MWEB Premium account and the pricing is so close.
 
Just don't sign a 24-month contract with them. Try get out of it asap so you're able to buy from alternatives as the price comes down.
