Imagine the take up on this offer once they launch people will cancel with monoplyTV operator immediately

They will have to do it right and not to pricey. Otherwise more people will know about Netflix and with an online search find it's very cheap in the US and 'available' to us.

Except that streaming on a semi-decent connection strains it a fair bit less than torrents or news server traffic.

You are not getting my point. Once Netflix goes main stream (excuse the pun) there will be additional traffic from Joe public who don't necessarily do torrents or news servers. The guys that are doing torrents and news servers will continue to do so.

will stay with the us netflix that the only thing i hate about netflix is that the different stores and have different content and US content is the most updated very often.

I suspect you're mistaken. Streaming is the next step; downloading sections of the Internet loses its appeal once you can stream a far wider selection than you'd ever contemplate downloading.

No Thanks. I couldnt care less. Im already on netflix via unotelly and Hulu every now and then. They will take ages to roll this out and charge much more. I have no faith in Telkom.

My Telkom ISP connection works just fine with Unotelly / Netflix.

If this comes through, I dont think Telkom is going to screw it up. They've been upto some good things the last couple of weeks.
