Telkom Bill Advertisement

At which point Telkom says, "The users of high speed ADSL all around the world are not allowed to download movies or music or stream audio or anything. They merely read about things and then watch music on MTV. This is what was meant by Exhibit A, that users can read all they want, as long as they turn off all pictures on IE and read transcripts of movies."

haha, i think the marketing department has never seen own there adsl product and is baceing the add on how adsl works in other countries.

Don't wast your time with ASASA complaints.
It states, quite clearly, on the front "HomeDSL access does not include ISP costs"
Telkom will simply argue, as they did at the ICASA hearings, that the cap is implimented by the ISP, and the the Telkom Line itself is indeed boundless.
These people are not stupid, just immoral.

This of course is either a blatant lie or the person was not "technically savvy" or misinformed.
If the guy from Telkom that stated this was unaware of this fact, he certainly has been enlightened now and ICASA has been drawn to the truth.
We simply report the facts. I think Antowan also brought up this point in his presentation. ICASA Presentations
MWeb in their submission said the same thing. They in fact advertise it on their website.
All ADSL users in South Africa, regardless of their Internet Service Provider, are affected by these capping policies.
WHAT IS CAPPING?
