Telkom customers pay more

Geeezz..What a shocker?? It's never happened before!

Welcome to South Africa, just bend over and take it!

Come on Neotel get your act together, there are many of us who would like to tell Telkom to shove their useless and incredibly expensive "service". (I use the term "service" very, very loosely, since I don't think they actually know the meaning of the word at Telkom)

What i would like to say i cannot in a public forum but along the line of @#$*!!

This is basically giving Neotel the finger. "We don't need to compete with you at all" is what they are saying. So instead of costs coming down as Neotel promised they have gone up. Well done I applaud you!

Such balls Telkom has. They deserve my money from now on, THIS company doesnt take crap. Nice.

so their staff gets better pay along with a week holiday, and we end up with the short end of the stick yet again. thank you Telkom for bringing back my dreams of public executions.
...ek sidder

welcome to SA.

Dont put your lights on at night.... because, how dare you use a product for what you are paying for.

Global trends in telecom is to decrease pricing, but no... Telkom has to shaft us once again.

A song comes to mind at the moment - "Rape Me" by nirvana

the day Neotel can give me/us ADSL line(s), Telkom is history. They are milking us just because they have monopoly on the frieking land line!!!

Yay!!! Another Bitching and Moaning thread!!!! :D ... bring it on!

Telkom sucks Donkey balls!

I hope they go insolvent (when a suitable competitor arrives... of course :p)

The reason Telkom can do this is simple. They are certainly feeling the competitive pressure (mostly in business) from Neotel, according to reports. Hence they have to keep revenues up, and what better way to do it than pass the costs on to a large number of customers who will simply pay and not complain? Most consumers a) don't notice, except perhaps that the bill is higher b) don't do anything about it. It's only a small fraction of consumers that notice and make a noise (like the people on this forum). The only way to make Telkom take any notice would be to get a large number of consumers to churn - i.e. tell everyone you know (both businesses and indivuduals) to look for alternatives - they're perhaps not everywhere yet, but they do exist. Remember that complaining is just words - people actually need to vote with their wallets, or nothing will actually change.
