Anyone got debited twice by Telkom this month? Or previously.
How did you resolve?

MY debit date is the !st of every month, and now I see they debited on the 10th again.

Same here

Best of all is the debit order bounced and because of that i'm being charged by FNB for failed payment.

That's why I'd rather pay my account manually. I don't fall for their BS "sign a debit order and get 200 minutes free" stuff, and have been burned by them many many many times

Seems to only be a problem for the Fixed Line portion of Telkoms business.

I haven't even got my bill yet, normally here by the 8th. OT but did you get your ethekwheni bill TB? I had a double bill in November, nothing in December and noting yet in Jan ( paid my normal in Dec anyway, would hate to cough up double in the month )

Yeah I got it on the 21st thankfully.

Sooo frustrating...Can't reverse payment with FNB online because it's more than R200. Cannot get through to Telkom accounts dept, apparently call volumes to high. Just wasted airtime waiting in queue...What a great way to start the day.

Fnb restricts you to R200? Lol.

"Please note, you can only reverse a debit order or stop payment for an amount of R200 or less . If this is an unauthorised debit order and you would like to dispute it, please contact the number at the back of your card. Alternatively, visit your nearest branch, or contact your banker for assistance." Lol

I don't think there is a limit on my banks option. That's ridiculous.

Same here, debit went off on the 3rd, now again this morning.
When applying for my line i was told i MUST have it go off on debit order and i detest debit orders. Lucky for me my entire internet package is with one ISP so the Telkom debit amount is under R200 and i was able to reverse it via Internet banking.

psh, so I got my bill stating I owe R1000+. I usually pay around R430 for my phone. But because they debited on the 1st and my boss only paid me the 31st (seriously, who does that???), they charged me almost R200 extra for the bounced debit order. I called them when I got paid and they said to only pay R600. which I did. This morning I got a message saying my account is in arrears and if I don't pay up in the next 48 hours, they'll disrupt my contract. Called them back and they said that my account is not in arrears so if my phone gets put off, I'm going on a rampage

Quite upset about this whole story :/
