Well I think Telkom should rethink the price of their pre-paid packs! yoh so much just for sim card.Really now people wouldnt be that quick TO BUY IT..Bad move

No I don't think they do but IMO the rollover thing is a load of BS. They just double charge you and double the time you can use it in.

As far as I can see, the higher charge is for higher speeds (on VC). The prices remain the same though, unfortunately. But Telkom is already running at 7.2 but at R219 for 1 GB. Whereas VC is R389 for 1GB at 7.2 (example).

Exactly.

e.g. Lets say u use more or less 1GB per month.
With vodacom you can now buy 2GB @ R600 = R300 per gig X 2 months @ 7.2 Mbps.
I'm hoping that with telkom prepaid we would be able to get 1GB @ R219 pm @ 7.2 Mbps.
Then Vodacom = R600 for 2 months and Telkom = R438 for 2 months
That is a R160 difference which you can use to buy a 500MB bundle when you come short at the end of a month.

AFAIK 7.2 is the default speed on Telkom 3G, so what ever package you buying you would auto get 7.2.
