Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

At the moment it seems as time goes by the need for bandwidth at my house has been steadily increasing. So much so that I estimate that I’ve easily been doing 10gig a day as of late. (Heavy streaming: Netflix, Youtube, Kids watching things, Gaming, etc.)

I’m on Telkom 10MB uncapped… (max speed our exchange can handle) If it goes on like this I’ll probably be capped at some point?

On a 10Mbps uncapped account? 300GB... very much doubt that you'll get capped.
 
So after my internet has driven me beyond crazy I think I know what the problem is. I'm sure my exchange is congested. If I use the internet at around 7 am everything seems ok but after 9 am it starts going to 1-2 meg speed on a 4 meg line. Is there anyway for me to test if this is the problem and if it is, is there any way to fix it.
 
Is something wrong with Telkom right now? Played a match of League where I had INSANE packet loss. This happens a bit too often tbh. Also random ping spikes happen though these are a bit more rare.

I'm seriously starting to reconsider Telkom :(
 
I've had my psn downloading for about 24 hours non stop, wonders how long until Telkom klaps my line.... :( damn downloads are HUGE
Line has been averaging 3.5mbps, flipping amazing considering the source is Sony psn
 
There were some maintenance activities by third parties (content partners) and one transmission failure (no impact) overnight, but those shouldn't have affected p2p (all stats looked normal).



Works for me at the moment. There was some planned maintenance this morning and there was an issue with access from the Web fronted to some backend systems following that, but that was resolved by about 08h20.
Hi ranger, it seems my TITracker problem is linked to the activation of TIAllAccess on my 10MB uncapped account (thread here http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/764856-Always-on-internet).

... not a major hassle as userstats is working ok but you might want to investigate.

don't worry same boat here. Insanely high ping as of late. But no one seems to care :/ Gaming isn't a priority for Telkom, funny this is... I play Counter Strike as DGC which is hosted by TELKOM! lol
 
It seems buggy on Firefox and Safari. There is an option to select the port and profile, but it ain't doing nothin'

I just selected my profile speeds... that's the only option it gave me :/

Ok well I just tested Counter strike again. Still ping over 300ms to JHB :(

Changed to my Mweb account and all is well. 24ms...

Amateur, my ping is 500ms on csgo :p

Yeah something is very wrong on TI
 
On softcap but also had no service last night. Been a growing trend these past few days that service is out during evening peak times.
