I think naspers complained about netflix / Hulu thus the lack of connectivity in 2014... I can see that dstv is losing out so they made a deal with the devil. Or the devil made a deal with them? I think the right answer is devil made a deal with another devil...

This is not a deterrent because many people who value those services will just change ISP's. In the process TI loses out on their core business.

I find it hard to believe that they would bow to Naspers to such an extent. But hey, funnier things have happened.

This would make sense if the rest of the internet was working perfectly, i cant even do http downloads at more than 5% of my line speed, its more like capacity issues imo.

This must be the answer. There is a connection somewhere. Doesn't Telkom have the catchup dstv product included in their media bolt-on? Impossible that everybodies streaming is screwed. Complete BS.
I think you need to stop watching the Fox channel :p Not everything's a conspiracy, sometimes it's just what it appears to be: absolutely rubbish service.

Anyways my deadline for Telkom is this Friday and then I am cancelling, sick and tired of this.

@ranger you say this - gaming is fine / netflix is fine.. But yet both of them suck ass. I can't even play bf4 on ps4... And then we will call call centre to complain we get the answer the my uncapped 2 meg line is not for gaming or streaming... What is it for??? Facebook and Twitter??? Seriously dude this is embarrassing

I think they are doing a mweb and only want those mom's and pops types coz of the crazy IPC cost.

Given the report about talks with Netflix I suppose it's possible TI have decided to shape TV streaming heavily pending a new account announcement thus freeing up bandwith to give gamers a better experience.

So no news or updates about the problem we are facing? What's the purpose of this thread then? Absolutely no updates from Telkom representative's. They better not ask full price for this crappy service we are getting. I understand companies have problem's sometimes but they could atleast give us info and a time line, as a customer it is never good to be in the dark about these things. And by the way telkom, when are you going to rectify your mistake you made and put me on my 4mb line like it was agreed upon.

Tried hulu just now and it was near instant to seek through the video. Netflix i am going to test now. :)

Holds thumbs and toes that this will remain sorted for as long as possible.

Must say, alot of valuable info has popped up in this thread since the issues began 3 weeks ago. :p

Edit: will test later, paypal funds taking too long to pay for my sub. Hope someone else can report in as to how the speeds are at this time. :)
Edit2: Tried my VCPay CC again and it worked so saved some paypal money :D.
Edit3: all working, HD Netflix is back but just abit of buffering to get it started however solid 4-6Mbps :)

Don't forget the CTRL+Shift+Alt+S to change buffer settings in normal screen and not full screen or it won't work.
