At least we know now that it is capacity problems!!! Why didn't Telkom upgraded their IPC capacity before they upgraded customers internet speed, this is so stupid, somebody needs to be fired!!!

Well it's pretty much the same massive issue that AH went through last November, so I'm carefully optimistic that things will return to normal once they've addressed the capacity shortage.

The only reason telkom wholesale upgrade the lines for free is, because the knew the ISP will have capacity issue and they will need to buy more capacity from telkom wholesale #moremoneyfortelkom

And they just appeared over night on the 6th.

I have a question.

When I had 2MB uncapped my line would pretty much go at full speed.
Since the free upgrade to 4MB my speed is way more unstable. Line stats are good.

I am wondering if I downgrade to the now cheaper 2MB package will I get 2MB speeds as I use to or will get dial up speeds. At the moment I am getting 2MB speeds anyway.

Yeah, this wasn't gradual. Who says it's capacity anyhow? Has telkom declared that?

If you consider that the 6th was the first real work day after the holidays for many then yes it is a capacity issue.

My issues actually started the Sunday when HD streaming was a no-no. SD worked fine though but it's been steadily downhill from there with the only respite coming sometime after 12AM on a daily basis and weekends until Sunday evening.

@TelkomZA responded (24 hours later - not bad!) saying they recreated the ports. I noticed a significant difference last night (speedtest up to 3.2 from 1.5 - 4mb uncapped) in browsing as well as smoother latency (dota 2 no spiking, cs:go still at 100 ms with random spikes).

Still unable to load twitch or youtube though. Downloads (p2p) still only running from 00:00 to 06:00.

It's a start but streaming is my main priority and it's still clearly an absolute mess.

Is it Red or orange?
I've received that msg on orange before but it did not effect my line throughput at all.
