Finally got through to Telkom cancellations after 40 minutes on hold. Made them cancel immediately - no 30 day waiting period. Changed ISP's and my line is running at full speed (4mb) with international ping under 200.

I have a 10mbps package which they bumped down to 8mbps after they screwed up our line after our number somehow got magically swapped with someone else's.
My normal speeds never hit over 5mbps on anything. Current speeds local are ~3.5-4mbps, international ~0.5-1.5mbps. Can't stream anything above 360p on YouTube, and international streaming doesn't load at all (mainly twitch.tv).

I'd suck a dong to get out of this contract right now.

How did you make them cancel immediately?

Just told them that it's been about a month of this poor service and I cannot be expected to pay for another month for something that I cannot use. Also mentioned the CPA. The lady I spoke to was also very understanding and agreed with my points. She initially said it would be cancelled in two days but I politely asked for it to be cancelled by the time I get home. She agreed and escalated the call to a manager while she put me on hold. Finally great service from Telkom.

I'm just glad I could help you to prevent this same mistake from recurring.

Might be a line or exchange issue. Doesn't seem similar to the issues most are experiencing (which is mainly international data).
