much better now than earlier today
My youtube is buffering where it wasn't earlier today but download speeds are better. I'm thinking the TI techies are playing around with throttling. My Ping to UK is much better , 287ms
My ping to Cape Town is 512ms. I won't give my speedtest result, will just embarrass Telkom.
Meaning:

peak (of a period of maximal use or demand or activity)
no offence but what ever changes have been made, are are of no good as for the promise that this would be rectified, in 2-3 days well that's not happening... so i guess this is another case where they have realized that there is some users that do, use the internet more than what is deemed "acceptable use" I am sure Telkom are using this as a cost saving.. nothing more nothing less.... this is my opinion.. .. i would say speak with your wallets but at the end of the day i am sure they would be more than happy to let go of all the high end users, and hold on to the low handing fruit that browsers here and there...We made some changes in the past half hour. I will try and look at any issues reported that still remain after 08h45 today (1 Feb 2014).

Make that 18h15. It seems there were some problems with the changes we have been waiting for, we had to revert our part this afternoon, and re-implemented around 18h00.
From what I see, things are looking better now.
Mine has been dead in the water for the last 3/4 hour ...
