It's a feedback thread, much of which is negative, due to an absolutely shocking performance by Ti over the last month.

What are we meant to do? Cheer them on with positive vibes?

Many people have contracts or have to wait 30 days for cancellation. Contract >= nailed to the floor.

Been *very* happy with the performance this month. Downloaded Hearthstone, streamed a couple series, watched HD youtube videos and even managed to watch Twitch.tv on high. Doing about 10 gigs a day. It's not as stable as it was last year, however it is working again.

Did telkom's speed go up? I have a contract for a 1mb line, and normally download at like 100kb/s, but I just realised my torrents are now downloading at like 180kb/s, does this mean my line is maybe upgraded?

Probably, go into your router and check what speed you are syncing at.

Dont forget to have Ti move you from the 1meg uncapped onto 2meg.
Else you will soon find yourself throttled at +-100GB.

Enjoy the increased speed, aint no going back once you had a taste :p

What is wrong with you?

The service has been good until this problem started. I'd prefer to offer feedback, and help get it sorted again.

Right now, you are the chief whinger here...

Forum or thread? Besides as others have mentioned its a feedback thread, would you prefer we lied about performance? Having said that, things have been much improved for me in the last two days.

I had problems as well for a while, I did not get onto the grand stand, like so many others.
Quietly contacted the Telkom Rep on the forums via a Pm, the response as usual was quick and very useful.

PM or two with my Tracert results and Viola up to full speed again.
There is a lesson in all of this, follow the recommended routes via PM , call centre's or fault logging.
Bear in mind no system is fool proof, just read the forums, Mweb, Afrihost, and many other ISP's have problems as well.

Telkom is like Microsoft, we all like to hate them, but cannot do without them.Ranting and raving is not the way to go.

As for the Telkom Rep , Charl you are a star, keep up the good work, the tide will turn someday.

Well that was my rant for the day.

Haha yea I am going to go to Telkom tomorrow, will they throttle me at +-200GB if i move Ti to 2meg?

My internet is flying for a change. Lets hope it lasts.

If done right you can get alot more than 200GB. I think Electric reported hitting 320GB in a month. If you find you getting close to the 200GB mark just start scheduling your "distros" to download between 12am and 6am.

I have a 4MB line with a 2MB uncapped and have yet to be throttled. But I dont really exceed more than 200GB in a month.
USAGE: Lots of YouTube and XBMC, NZB's and the occasional torrent.
Streaming is where I find Ti to be better than most. I can do 720p all day :D
