hey guys
has anybody tried streaming on twitch since the *changes* ? tried last night and still cant stream on low without buffering ..
 
I had problems as well for a while, I did not get onto the grand stand, like so many others.
Quietly contacted the Telkom Rep on the forums via a Pm, the response as usual was quick and very useful.

PM or two with my Tracert results and Viola up to full speed again.
There is a lesson in all of this, follow the recommended routes via PM , call centre's or fault logging.
Bear in mind no system is fool proof, just read the forums, Mweb, Afrihost, and many other ISP's have problems as well.

Telkom is like Microsoft, we all like to hate them, but cannot do without them.Ranting and raving is not the way to go.

As for the Telkom Rep , Charl you are a star, keep up the good work, the tide will turn someday.

The intimation here that others did not do this, and chose only to rant is not reasonable - I did everything I was asked to do, and provided swathes of information for the reps.

Nothing at all came of it, and after several weeks of frustration I aired my annoyance, who wouldn't?

Agree totally regarding Charl, he's great.

+1 for Charl - should get rep of the year, seriously.

As for the rest, I agree with copacetic. Rubbish service will result in public display of displeasure. Also known as "feedback". Which is what this thread is for.
 
Latency is once again erratic. Speeds too.

I really give up now...

I can stream, but it occasionally loses connection and starts buffering, no matter what quality. It *might* be a problem with Twitch, seeing as I have no packet loss and very low jitter to the servers, however that doesn't explain why usage drops.
 
Capped vs Uncapped?
Yeah, using the capped Afrihost as a backup but I will be moving to business uncapped should this issue not be resolved by the end of the week. Since ranger came on here and said they made changes over the weekend my local speeds have been affected too when previously it was just international.

Anyway, I just wanted to demonstrate that TI is piss poor once again this evening.

I posted mtr results as well and they don't look good. Getting massive packet loss at exchange level all the way through. This was never the case previously.

Please ask Charl to fix the rest of South Africa's TI problems then. If it was as easy as that, don't you think everybody would have been sorted by now.

If you don't know what you are talking about, rather refrain from posting.

Why do I ask? If I look at traceroutes from the same user with different accounts then their initial 3 or 4 hops should be very similar, but they aren't and it is usually TI sucking the hind tit . Why is that? (before it connects to IPC or the other ISP's own routers).

what a measure that acts against the interests of TI
could it be?
but what about the constant rhetoric from competitors?
O wait the leader of the charge is dishonest
 
Okay, seriously, everything was perfect throughout the day, but even browsing MyBB is a pain now! What's going on, or is it just me? :/
