I still think that the 4Mbps offering is pretty decent. +-350GB the throttle.
Agreed if it were that simple but I suspect TI are using other criteria to define "abusers" - 24/7 downloading at full line speed for example can lead to exchange congestion so I suspect that individual users are being targeted based on the manner they use bandwith as opposed to quantity.
I think we would all like some clarity on the issue to know where we stand to dispel the nagging doubts, I've done 280GB on 4Mb this month without a problem - yet
Edit: but February is a short month![]()
... IS is a rock solid backbone and their accounts are pretty well priced now I have to say.
I still think that the 4Mbps offering is pretty decent. +-350GB the throttle. Its a sizable amount for R369 but yes its not uncapped so you have to choose shaping from other isp's or relatively good speed with ti until you hit that magical number.
Decisions..... Axxess vs Telkom vs Webafrica......
Look like the TI tracker is fixed......

"Thank you for logging onto the Telkom Internet Usage Tracker Tool. You are on an Uncapped product and therefore usage tracking is not applicable to you."
Please note that our uncapped products adhere to the ISPA definitions of 'uncapped'
... I have moved on and are no longer a client of TI.
