I think it's an internal issue involving the releasing of additional capacity that is already available...

Could very well be but this needs to be communicated to the end user.

Did the freeze not end on Friday?

Also, AFAIK, the freeze is about adding NEW links, infrastructure, software, etc. into the system and should not involve day-to-day business where existing network/capacity exists.

Poor show... maybe rpm should poke Telkom for an official response.

I have been downloading a game from steam since Friday, on a 4 meg line, I got 1 Gig to go and it will take 13 hours to complete, got to love TI!!
 
I've been COMPLETELY offline all day, no connection whatsoever. Rebooted the router, reset the port and the technician on the other end of the line was completely useless. Been offline since 6am. And then Telkom chose today of all days to send me my bill...seriously...?

I haven't paid them yet and I won't until it is fixed or I get word from them regarding the rebate I have discussed with the billing department for crappy access.

They can cut the line if they want because it is basically useless as it is.

Not because you are having issues, but because somehow you think it's acceptable to leave people in the dark about this for over a week.

What do we have to do? Beg? Go shoot up a Telkom outlet? What?

Hi, have gotent word from Telkom Internet that the issue is simply that there is not enough international bandwidth, still speculation but does explain why its affecting all clients.awaiting further feedback with concrete evidence that this is the case.^KM. awaiting further update

After week it's still only speculation... There goes what little faith I had in them.
 
They probably don't know what's wrong, but it's most certainly not international bandwidth. Something is broken between Cape Town and the rest of the network.

Because suddenly bandwidth dissappeared overnight. These guys don't know their head from their arse.

If they did not have enough, then don't charge as if you do.
