My local runs at full speed, but my international runs at about 28 kb/s (not very stable as well keeps going up and down.)
Don't know if that's on purpose or the exchanges are under pressure.

No throttling on my account but I only use it 18:00 to 06:00.

I must say that I'm very happy with this account even though it's more expensive than MWeb & Axxess - the performance justifies the higher price.

Hehehehe - interesting... traceroute to Mweb is better than to Telkom itself!!!

telkom.co.za is in Centurion, MWEB and Hetzner are in Cape Town. So, it seems MickeyD is in Cape Town.

(BTW., the implication here is that Telkom uncapped doesn't backhaul your traffic to a central location, like all other uncapped products do, so localised traffic is significantly faster. If it weren't telkom.co.za would be twice as fast as MWEB and Hetzner)

I've been getting home and my damn connection is down "LCP DOWN" - 3rd day in a row.

im hesitant to go mweb again, whenever the line is down u dont get compensated and u cant cancel, u have to wait 30days, with telkom u can on and off instantly, so u guys still rate mweb?

Wouldn't touch MWEB. Either OW Gold or Telkom for me at the moment.

Not sure... going to see if it happens again, and then log a fault with Telkom.

How were you guys billed?

I was billed R1,1xx odd for the first month of 1MB uncapped... I've been fighting this with Telkom, but they say its normal?

It's not a mistake, you're being billed for your first month in arrears (no pro rata, sucks I know) and the new month in advance hence the double billing.
