Thanks Ranger for all the info.
I am not faced anymore. I have come to realize there is no ISP that can get their shiz right.
I have used Afrihosts business uncapped and am back on it right now. The fact that they dont have a CT IPC peewed me off the most, as all our servers are in CT and I just enjoy the <10ms to our servers. With AFrihost we get 55-70. Now with Telkom I get 32-40ms. As you can see in my trace above, hop 6 goes from 10 to 33. Is that also just temporary?
Any ETA on when the titracker is supposed to start working again? I've capped a 1GB account out of experimentation to see what the new 'after-cap' service is going to be like for my other TI accounts (as if it's bad I plan on cancelling them all and going Mweb) - but so far that account won't allow any traffic since it reached cap, but intercepts every http request to their TITracker landing page because I'm supposed to choose if I want it to go soft-cap/post-paid/etc... however that's not possible to do because of an "We have encountered an error executing your request" error. Anyone else experiencing this yet?
Ah okay hang on, it was as I described until late last night / early hours of the morning, which is why I wrote this; but I see now it's changed, just logged back into the account and I'm definitely soft-capped, and the titracker is also working now. HTTP speeds of around 384k up/down (10Mb line), crippled youtube, and a bit of packet loss on the Quake Live servers, but otherwise usable... what I like about it vs Mweb's shaping is that it seems there is no delay on requests before a page actually loads, only a reduced speed once its loading. New to this though, so I'll give more feedback once I've really put it to the test by my typical usage scenariosHmm, that is supposed to work ... if we knew it wasn't working we wouldn't have let the developers sleep ... but that may have been counter-productive.
If you want to go soft-capped, PM me your username and I will soft-cap you.

Indeed (is local any difference in speed?), will be interesting to see if accounts with higher cap allow for higher speed? It will be interesting to see what happens after hours.

Ok, so I wanted to signup for a 4mb uncapped account and was waiting for my other ISP to terminate. Happened today.
So as luck would have it, the call center does not work on weekends and TI does not have an online portal where you can purchase adsl accounts and so on(unless my pc is allergic to that page). So now I have to wait for Monday
Can a call to a Telkom direct shop tomorrow maybe get me sorted, or can you do something ranger?
Starting to see some improvement although not quite there yet. Thanks for the updates yet again ranger.
One question to others on the uncapped package, are you all able to login to play the Crysis 3 MP Beta? It keeps spewing out an unable to connect error and i have tried suggestions with disabling UPNP etc. I don't have other games installed to test but any feedback is welcomed. Origin seems to be working fine as far as downloading and browsing goes.
@ranger,if anyone at the office can test from their end aswell, that would be awesome. Am sure it will download very quickfull details on this page here Beta is open until the 12th Feb.
:-(.
As I said in reply to your PM, TDS may be your best bet, they can do internet account activations themselves now. Some Dion Wired shops can also, but I don't have a list, and it's not on the website as far as I can tell.
Supersport streaming service up and running.I have sent a message on their support form, does anyone know the best way to contact their technical staff?
