Netflix stopped working, says app is not compatible with device...

Found the culprit, the Lit Box somehow turned on my auto sleep function in eco mode on my Samsung, I have this tv for 4 years now and never had that function turned on, now the issue seems resolved.

I have a A06 unit that has not updated yet.
Wondering if there is any way to trigger it?
I’ve tried the obvious update app and the software update in settings and insured my play store is on auto update.
Any other ideas?

Having the same problem. Android 7. Using the modded Netflix. And you guys? Clearing cache and data didn't work. Now what? Looks like we lot on Android 7 are now being forced to do the upgrade to 8 where I assume Netflix still works. Anyone on 8 want to confirm?

Yeah the boss was watching Netflix all day on 8. No problems

I have however uninstalled all Netflix app updates as the updated version blocks dns services.

Jip, I rolled back to version 5 of the Netflix app. Version 6 and up blocks dns

You can buy a Telkom LIT box at your local Telkom shop, somewhere around R1200 I think.

Dstv now manage devises. If there are say 4 Lit devises listed only the current one you are viewing will say, this device is registered and gives you a devise ID ( this is not the LIT box ID). The other three will only show as
Telkom TVB-100 Android TV

If you rename the LIT BOXs they will still say Telkom TVB-100 not the given name you assigned. Is there any way of knowing which of the the three devices registered is what LIT with out having to connect each lit in turn.

we did get a memo that some older devices are no longer supported by the app since these devices can no longer read the codex of the new version of the app.

sadly the older versions are no longer working right now since they are obsolete
the older versions can no longer communicate with the server and will show up as an error like what you are experiencing
