Because the nerds at Google worked very hard on the memory management so you don't have to.

That is what they say, I don't quite believe them, also not saying they have not made great improvements, but yeah, ... , it ain't perfect. :)

Not complaining mind you.

Does anyone have a full firmware for these yet? I still have a bricked one from a forced incorrect OtA update I downloaded for the wrong version.

Anyone experiencing Netflix volume not being adjusted when trying to lower or higher the volume level? It's the only app where I have to lower the TV volume directly because the Lit Box isn't able to adjust it. It shows the volume being lowered and raised when I press the volume keys but it's still the same volume on the TV.

Need a new remote where can I get one as telkom don't sell them seperaltly. Also which other remote is compatible with this device

I ordered one from here: https://www.smartkit.co.za/product/telkom-lit-box-replacement-remotes-ir/

Still waiting for delivery as they were closed. My remote just stopped working. Thought it was the batteries. New batteries aren't working either. Tried different sets of new batteries. Even opened up the remote to check and everything looks fine. Not sure what happened.

So on Nology's advice I took my bricked A06 to the Telkom store today to only find out it is now out of warranty from December, 4th 2017. They would not accept it for a replacement. Any ideas what the manufacturer warranty is on the box?

It's SDMC.

But how was it bricked ?
And are you hoping SDMC gives FW?

It was bricked after I ran the FW upgrade. Huh, I was under the impression Nology is the maker of the box? Are you saying they also just redistibute the SDMC boxes? Should they not have at least access to the FW, or be able to still troubleshoot further than my experience goes?

Maker no.
Manage the devices on behalf of Telkom, yes.

You should be able to contact nology on support@nology.co.za or there is a person here on MyBB. They can assist you. They in JHB so hopefully you close and it should be easy, otherwise I suspect a shipped arrangement.

Also, there is rumour, that there is a new remote with a NetFlix button, I would also appreciate it, if it had a microphone as well, like the Mi Box remote. If it has, I will probably buy 2 of them.
Stay tuned

Any news on the remotes? I also have one of the remotes with no microphone - after the update, the interface seems more geared to voice inputs.

I have the Mi Box that has a remote with a mic and it's great especially for something like YouTube where you can just say play the Hellboy trailer on YouTube right from the home screen.

One thing to remember with the new remotes though, is that it is Bluetooth (no A06) and it's work after the update (ie need Android 8.0
