Its a good question. To which i do not have the answer.

However a work around (if you copying from a PC to the Lit box HDD) is to network share a folder on your PC, put the files there. With ES file explorer, browse for the shared folder from the Lit box, find the files and copy.

What game pads are you guys using ?

Xbox 360 wireless gamepad and Microsoft USB adapter.
Works well for almost all Android TV games. Works for some emulator games without setting up/tinkering but I'm sure after some googline and tinkering you should be able to play most emulator games with the XB360 controllers.
The controllers don't however work with most of the sideloaded non-Android TV games i'm afraid.

I am doing that right now - using a Samsung 23 inch monitor, and computer speakers plugged into the av out.

I have thought of the extension cord - its just messy with the plug point sitting on the top of the tv too. But it is an option of last resort.

Have also thought of mounting it at the bottom but there isnt anything on which i can attach the box. The TV bracket has arms reaching down - but nothing on which i can connect anything.

I know i am being a bit difficult, but just want a clean solution - which to me is another adapter with a longer wire. :(
Why not power it using one of the USB slots on the TV. I've seen USB to DC connector cables

The YouTube app on the Android TV OS got a redesign and added back the option to change video quality, which was removed for some reason in the previous version.

In case you haven't heard about Android TV, it's essentially a version of Android made for smart TVs and multimedia devices, such as the Razer Forge and the Xiaomi Mi Box. Android TV is successor to Google TV, which was launched back in 2010.

Now, let's talk about the update. Although it doesn't bring much to the table, the things it does add are well desired by the Android TV community. First thing you'll notice is the app got a visual redesign. Some of the tabs where also moved around and the search bar got refreshed as well. Also, the theme color of the app has been changed to gray, previously red, and it strictly reminds of the dark theme found in the PC version of YouTube. Another thing added is the option to manually choose video quality, which was previously set to the highest available, depending on your network and TV.

I never knew you could get these. Will see if i can find one for sale in SA.

By the way, why did these guys not just have a micro usb slot for power - so much easier

Because people might try to use the USB ports on the back of their TVs and get miffed when it doesn't work?

Before you go buying cables have a look at the USB port on the back of your TV and make sure it's capable of supplying enough juice. My Samsung is clearly labeled 5v 0.5a... meanwhile the box wants 5v 2a.

Even if the TV doesn't push out enough juice, the cable is 1.5 m and will work for me

Assuming you've confirmed it will fit... I don't see any mention of its polarity?
