Mine works on the LIT box without issues ever. Downloaded from playstore.

Yes, you can definitely root it as it comes with stock OS 7.1.2..

Many methods available.. google the best method

I've had my lit since they were launched, and I am still on the original batteries.

Same here.. ive had no problems with the remote, havent replaced batteries since i got it at launch.. airmouse works well.. maybe im used to it as my LG TV also has that smart airmouse as well

Only the A6 and A7 had the AirMouse, if I remember. In other words, press mouse button and wave it around.a

The A11 and A12 still have a 'mouse' key - but it's a cursor. Ie use arrow keys to move it

Which version do you have?

EDIT : You have no mic hole either, so must be 11 or 12

EDIT#2 : Also pretty sure you have IR, as opposed A6/A7 Bluetooth

How many models of this unit are there in total? Maybe the first post needs to be updated with this detail too.

I honestly have no idea what model I have, because i don't see any number on the box prefixed by the letter "A"

Just got a TELKOM TVB-100 on Friday, DSTV NOW has one problem I need to resolve urgently,
Under setting there is no Bandwidth control like on the android phones tablets etc. ie: 550 Mb/h etc.
I used 8Gb of LTE data in 5 hours
Any Pointers

DSTV NOW 1.42.8 Pre-loaded/ updated

There is not such a setting that I am aware off. However, when you setup the box, there is a resolution setting which might limit the amount of data that is used. If, that setting influences the resolution that the box down loads and not just what it outputs. Suspect you are out of luck tho.

Hi,
All Android phones/tablets and MS windows when streaming LIVE TV have below the video screen. a "GEAR/COG" next to screen maximize button, have a control setting for controlling the Bandwidth.

But not on TELKOM TV BOX ?

TELKOM LIT Package gives 50GB VIDEO STREAMING DATA for R299

Unfortunately No Fibre or Decent ADSL Available

It is a setting in the LIT TV box's initial setup - try it, you might be lucky, but have my doubts. If it does work, you will be stuck at 360, 480, 720 or whatever resolution you choose for viewing. So might not be great.

I wish the Google Home Mini and the box had far more integration. That'd be an absolutely awesome feature and I'm unsure why Google don't do this.

Also, like I said earlier, the voice on the remote offers a different 'Assistant' to Mini. In other words, it won't turn off my lights ... But the Mini will.

I installed the latest version of the Google App, which updates the Assistant to the latest version. I'm able to control my smart home devices and do searches with my remote (MyGica KR303). You will need to download the apk from apkmirror, but so far I haven't had any issues.
