Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Mines officially a brick. I'll have to find some custom way of flashing another ROM onto it. It won't even go into recovery mode. Be afraid of the updates, be very afraid.

Take it back to Telkom, and explain the situation. Considering that its their crappy update being pushed, they should be held accountable for the mess
 
Anybody else noticed that the phone remote app seems to be exclusive after the update?

Exclusive as in only one phone is allowed connected at a time. Wondering if there is a place I missed in the settings to change that or if there is something else weird going on.

Yip.

which phone remote app are you using?
Offical droid one.

It lists the box, but just immediately disconnects when you try to connect. So, im not sure if its intended or not, since there is no message or anything. Just refuses to let more than one connect.
 
Anyone know where i can get my hands on a newer box, A11 or B models?
 
A07 model here, update happened on Tuesday evening. Netflix and DSTV apps running smoothly, don't have a Showmax sub so not sure if that's any different.
 
Updated fine here. Reset the box and on initial setup, found the update.
Needed to pull out the power cord as well but no issues on my end.

Side note, how do I change the power cord of the litbox to a USB one. No power points in bedroom for the box(it’s complicated)

And power it how? The one that comes with it outputs 2A. Checked the back of my TV and it outputs 0.5A.
 
I have the same problem. please advise how to fix the fault.

I have given the box back to Telkom (they use Nology to fix the Litbox)
I first went to Nology(in Centurion) to ask them if the box is broken, they said yes, but i am not so sure its a hardware issue.
In any case, Telkom said they will replace it.
 
Well mine is just a blank screen now. Tv shows no source and all the blue lights are on. So I assume it’s bricked. I can unplug it as many times as I want but nothing. Is there a hard reset on the box?
 
Well mine is working again. Seems the resolution was too high for it after start up for my old led tv. Spoke to Johan and he set its set by default to 4K. So connected it to my other tv and set the resolution lower and took it back and it’s working now
