Too many reports of updates ending in what appears to be bricked boxes. How many of you have resolved this by now?
There is just no way I will take the plunge to update while there is a very real risk that I could lose my box. And my box is more than 12 months old, so I don't have much hope that Telkom would be able to help either. I have been fighting with them for almost a year to cancel old ADSL accounts, and I just don't want to get into further battles with Telkom as they are next to useless. My box is my only means of tv entertainment in the house, I cannot risk losing it for even a short period of time.
@Nology - Will we be able to get support from you if our box ends up bricking? As per above, I really don't want to work via Telkom...
