Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Looks like my B05 box tried to update sometime in the night. TV now displays "Mode not supported" and I can't get the box to do anything. I've cycled power to it but it makes no difference. Lights are on, it acknowledges remote signals but does nothing.

TV is Samsung, I don't have another TV to test with.

@Nology or anyone else who can help - any tips for me to get it going?

Do you have a memory card in there?

No memory card. I eventually got the box to switch off with the remote, I've pulled the power and put it back, but no luck. Still get the "Mode not supported" message, I tried it in a different HDMI port on the TV but nothing.

If nothing comes of it, take it back to Telkom. Have you tried to reset via the box? Pinhole or something?

I'm not aware of a reset option. I'll see if I can spot something.

Edit: There's a reset button between the USB ports. I held it in for about 10 seconds with the box powered on and connected to the TV, but no difference. I think it may be the resolution problem that some others have had - see post # 3,396.

Usually with such devices, when using that reset button thru the pin hole, you are supposed to pull the power, push switch thru hole with suitable item, then plug in the power till lights start blinking. Then you take pressure of of switch. Have not seen specific instructions for this on the LIT box or for the Mi Box, so your mileage may vary.

Amazon-Prime-Video-AndroidTV-4.8.69.apk - APK I am using, believe there is a link, a page or two back, on my way to work, in a minute, sorry.

It occurs to me, that this forum has been rather busy, so it might be more than a few pages back. It might also just be in the Mi Box thread, and not here.

Tried this procedure, the lights come on red, turn to blue but don't blink even after about 15 seconds.

I've noticed people referring to the Telkom lit screen on startup. I bought a 2nd hand box (A6);and only get the Android startup screen could this be a "fake" box?

Do you have an AV cable that you could connect to TV with?
