Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Hi guys. Please can someone assist?
My box keeps shutting off and doing this. It's a recent update, haven't had this problem since. What can I do?

Hi there has anyone got the older an A06 model that has successfully installed the new firmware android 8. If so any issues. Is dstv and and other programmes all running fine. Any idea what the difference is besides no blue tooth and older remote.? Reason I am asking I can get an A06 at a good price.
 
If you have an SD card in, remove it. Pull plug and then plug in again
No SD card bud. It's stock standard I have done nothing to the box since I've got it. First update but it doesn't want to install and keeps on showing this error then boots up again.

Okay... Remove all your apps. Factory reset it. It might be a storage space issue.

They haven't had the upgrade yet.

Personally? I would rather not get it because of the Bluetooth. When other remotes make their way into the market, they'll more than likely be Bluetooth and you won't be able to update.

Also, 5ghz WiFi ...

The UI is getting a touch sluggish for me. Not unexpected. The 3's came out close to 5 years ago. Still a very good streaming box.
Yeah, I see I bought my first one on 22 April 2014 from Amazon UK.

I find the UI stutters every now and again, even in apps like Netflix and Amazon. The interface isn't anything impressive, but it's probably what makes it the player it is, the simplicity. That said, never had a days issue with them in the years I've used them, they just work.

Had mine about a year, and still happy. :)
 
Anyone know if there are apps running in background and how to kill them with this new launcher ??

This... please guys ? or does oreo have aggressive memory management.

I've had moments where it seems that the device is just plain unresponsive. Arrow keys work but select doesnt.

I can only surmise that there are processes happening in the background which is causing the lag.

I eventually ended up pulling the power cable.

A quick update from our side.



  • A07 and A11 devices should have received the update. We enabled the update for the last batch of A11’s this morning.
  • A06 and B05 devices will receive the update next week, the update campaigns are scheduled to start on Monday.
  • We are seeing quite a few devices that don’t have sufficient space to download the update. Please ensure that the device has at least 700 Mb free in order for the update to download and apply.
  • SD cards cause problems. If the device downloads the update package to the SD card, the update will fail since the SD card can’t be read during the update process. The safest course of action would be to remove the SD card completely; it can be re-inserted after the update has been successful.
  • The update campaign has been very successful with a failure rate of below 1%. We managed to recover every device that exhibited problems during the update process, no devices lost.
  • Unfortunately we can’t supply anyone with the firmware image since the process includes a step that burns an electronic serial number to the device. Due to HDCP rules we are not allowed to distribute this image and tools to the public.
  • If you encounter any issue during the process, please send an email to [email protected] outlining the issue encountered. Please also supply us with the serial number/MAC address that is printed on the label underneath the device.
Sent you my LIT box (A11) details that went completely blank after Last nights update ... please help!

Yeah I have two myself. I've had the one loaded with a US account, and the other with UK.

The BBC iPlayer app is properly optimized for the Roku and is my preferred way of using that app for the big screen. Unlike other versions of that app with Android TV where you have to fiddle around with a touch pad or having to get yourself an airmouse controller.
 
After both updates, the "mouse" button on my remote doesn't work. Anyone else have this problem, or is there a fix?

This has happened to my mouse too. Changed the batteries and even tried to reset (even though I don’t have an air mouse). I wonder what the problem could be. Any ideas anyone?
 
After my upgrade last night i found that the update does not support KODI 17.6 using a NTFS hdd. The only solution I have found is to download KODI 18 beta it works fine but if you have some addons may not work
