Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Hi there

Old qeustion, but want to find out if bluetooth headphones will work with telkom lit box
Yes, it works perfectly. I've been using it with mines since I got them, no issues.

I see the Play Store UI has changed somewhat. Found a new app on there called Torentium. Looks like a torrent streamer. Anyone using this? I tried opening a torrent file but it looks like the app expects you to have Real Debrid premium account before it works. Or am I missing something? Somebody else wanna try this on your Litbox?

If I can get this to work it will be super easy to download torrent link file and share to this app on Litbox for easy direct streaming.

Ok so I subscribed to Real Debrid and this app (Torentium) works quite well.

On my phone I d/l (share) the torrent link file (.torrent file) straight to my Google drive. On the Litbox I click on this file in Xplor (which gives access to your cloud drives) and it opens in Torentium and starts streaming the video. (Apparently Real Debrid sends you a converted stream of the torrent so you are not connecting to the torrent itself). Runs smoothly and able to pause, fwd and use subtitles. It certainly beats having to d/l torrents for content (Mandalorian!) I want to watch.

The LIT has always been Google Certified - so there has never been an issue with DSTV Now.

There was an issue with Netflix Certification at the start - but it was certified by Netflix over a year back. Now you get the Android TV interface, along with UHD and HDR Where the content supports it

Correct, without using APKs like mentioned by @Dolby

Once the box is on the latest firmware, which a new device bought now will be, Netflix is already installed on the Telkom Lit. Not sure about the Xiaomi but I suspect the same is true for it. When the netflix certification was done, it was added to the box as already installed, so you only need to install updates from the play store.

You sir, have just convinced me! many thanks, will go check who has stock

Thats if you even need the SD card. I dont use an SD card, any thing that needs to be stored, is stored on a NAS device.

Rather buy the SD card separately if you think you are going to need additional space. That card is overpriced at R291 and you can also find faster Class U3 cards such as this one:

Anyone had experience with these ZAR 350.43 20%OFF | KM3 3D TV Box Android TV Google Certified Android 9.0 TV Box 4GB 128GB Amlogic 4K Dual Wifi Set Top Box KM9 Pro 2/16 4/32G M8s

Also Google and Netflix certified. I an contemplating getting one
The specs says no Netflix HD.

Here is a review I have watched in the past :
