Telkom LTE crashed nationally?

It seems Telkom LTE crashed across the country. Just heard from people iin different towns. I have been down since 18:45. How many are affected here?

Many Telkom Mobile customers have reported experiencing network problems this evening, with no data throughput and slow connection speeds.

Customers took to Twitter, the MyBroadband Forum, and Down Detector to post complaints about problems with their mobile data connections.

The problems appear to be country wide, and started between 18:00 and 19:00.

MyBroadband has also received emails from Telkom customer about their mobile services being down.

Telkom was asked for comment on what was causing the problem, but it did not immediately reply to questions.

The company did state on Twitter, however, that there has been “network downtime” this evening.

I think the problems started earlier the day, around 14:00. I lost LTE connection about 5 or 6 times, but it came on after 10 or so minutes each time.

By the way
For a little while, my phone actually showed the Vodacom network as available to connect to,while cellc and rain were not available to connect to.

But once I chose Vodacom, it did not connect.

Possibly related with implementation of the roaming deal with Vodacom?

No go here... luckily only 45 mins of load shedding to go. My backup Afrihost 250megs should last

Really need to get my load balanced network going using telkom and rain. Hopefully i can avoid issues like this
