Went down at ~ 19:00 last night. Then on off the whole night and finally started getting stable at 02:30am.... Mine has been working since but did drop data connection like 5 times already and I seem to have increased latency. Normal 15ms to mybb JHB server from Centurion but it's like 40ms now. Speeds are relatively good ~ 60Mbps compared to my 90Mbps+ that I get. So something is still up.

What did you expect, great service, immediate response and a speedy resolution??? it's Telkom for f*** sakes, a very thinly disguised SOE. Wake up and smell the pollution.

Telkom told MyBroadband that one of the service routers in its Pretoria exchange went down, which impacted Telkom mobile data services.

“The service was restored at around 01:30,” said Telkom.

The problems appear to be country wide, and started between 18:00 and 19:00.

That suggests that there is insufficient to zero redundancy designed into Telkom's LTE network topology and that a single point of failure in a Pretoria exchange can bring down Telkom's LTE network countrywide.

Our Telkom LTE to our home has been down for almost a month. Works erratically. On for an hour then goes off again. We have had several calls to Telkom who say we need a technician to come here. They promise to get one out - more than a week since and no one has contacted us. THIS IS CAUSING US HUGE INCONVENIENCE. DOES ANYONE AT TELKOM CARE!!!!!!!!! I have reversed their monthly debit order - NO SERVICE, NO PAY.
