Noticed the connection being more stable and not fluctuating as it was before! Did run a few test but it seems the base station I connect 2 doesn't have enough juice.

Telkom Mobile LTE Speedtest Results - post trial

Ugh. First time ever in my 7 months of being on the tower that things look so bleak. Only 1 bar signal and signal strength is sitting at -119dBm. There's also no 3G signal *at all*. I kinda get the feeling the tower is offline altogether so my signal is coming from another tower.

Hopefully this is a major maintenance shutdown. I only wish the cellular service providers had a website for maintenance, issues and downtime like all other providers around the world. If ISP's can do it, why can't they?

Ouch @ the upload. I guess there'll be no online gaming for me tonight.

Edit: by 10pm the 3G service was on again and I had full LTE signal as well. Speed tests were only improved on the above by a proper upload speed of 8Mbps. Download speed not going higher than 11Mbps.

I've noticed for a while now that the uploads are 2Mbps slower but it's not that big a deal.
 
You can fix that variation with an antenna - I can't remember if we've discussed this before...

Doesn't help for me. Max I am getting from the base station is (20megs - 22 megs).
Multiple download threads open. - Connection is more stable before the antenna was getting -101 RSRP, -65(fluctuated)RSSI

What antennas are you using and are they properly installed?
 
Something is amiss if the connection is worse with the antennas. The signal strength should have quite an improvement; however, that said, I have seen cases where the gain leaves a lot to be desired. I'd love to get an answer from Poynting in this regard but one would need to pay a callout.

The connection is more stable with the Antenna without an antenna the connection was unstable! My bad was in a rush when I typed that statement out. The signal strength improved drastically about -25 RSSI, RSQP -25 dBM. ..

I was under the impression having an antenna installed would increase the speed but unfortunately not the case! Base Station probably congested.

Azimuth - how far is your LTE base station from your premises (Roughly) what's your d/l and u/l speed. I have seen you post download speeds of roughly around 36 meg.

This isn't the same position where I had my router before. Router is attached with antenna but disabled the external to run a few speedtest.

need to know if I can get better speeds if I fit an external areal on my modem.

My download speed is 10Mbps slower the past while; I should probably get my antenna hooked up again.

The speeds are still unacceptable, have an antenna installed and don't notice any difference whatsoever.

Things have improved! Before my upload was faster than my download speed found it irritating.
