Telkom Mobile LTE Speedtest Results

If it's any consolation, I cancelled Netflix so I'm not really contributing to the stream overload during peak time anymore :D
 
Anyone here close to Harmelia, Edenvale that can give me an average of daily speeds and pings? My application has just gone in and concerned now with all the issues reported.
My area could be lucky (for now) though.

From the Telkom Map it looks like you have 3 towers around you so you "should" be able to get decent performance or at least have the option to point your antenna towards another tower if the one you're using is not great.

Correct installation & positioning of the external antenna is crucial to this product working properly yet you may still experience degradation from 6PM till about 11PM.

Ye, we got got coverage here, but it's that 18H00 slot that bugs me. That is gaming time for myself and my boy, and can't have congestion mess with that. Need to test it somehow.

What I am thinking is to just run ADSL and LTE side by side, and route traffic accordingly. If over a few months the LTE is stable and consistent, then dump the ADSL.

Blazing again this morning. Last night the congestion wasn't that bad for me or atleast when I tested.

Anyone in the Sandringham/Sydenham/Fairmount JHB area that can confirm that they noticed a drastic speed decrease in the last 7 days? Please also post tower ID's if possible.
 
It's been 5 days now that my International latency has been fine again in the evenings. 190-210ms EU
Can't say the same about the download speed.
 
I am sick and tired of the inconstancy and lack of service from Telkom!
Been like this for over 2 weeks now. Can't even surf.25 July 21 06 a.jpg
