Telkom Simple Uncapped Query [SOLVED]

Hello everyone I am reasonably new to this forum and please correct me if I'm posting this thread in the wrong section.

I have recently moved into my new place in Stellenbosch and I don't think the previous tenants had any land line connection at all and obviously no ADSL.
So looks like I am left with all the fun installation costs involved with getting a land line and ADSL line set up.

I found this Telkom Simple Uncapped package.

It claims to include:
Telkom Landline rental​
Free landline and ADSL installation (New customers only)​
Free WiFi modem​
Free Prepaid Internet Starter Pack (3G USB modem and 200MB recurring Telkom mobile data for 12 months)

I was wondering if it is at all possible to not go into some 24 or 12 month contract with them, as it is possible I may want to switch ISP's in the future and there is a possibility of me moving again.

I assume the "Free" Wifi modem and 3G modem are just there to lock you into a contract. Do you think it is possible to leave those modems out of the deal? (as I have pretty decent Netgear modem from my old setup)
Leaving me with a kind of month-to-month deal?

Yes go for a simple package

No don't sign anything other than a month to month

50/50 chance of getting a free modem anyway...the officially party line is 24m contract only...in practice its luck of the draw. I got mine without contract

there is a flippin massive telkom simple thread here somewhere...like 20 pages of posts. can't find it right now though

I took the 4 meg simple deal to get ADSL and to save on the installation and Modem costs.
There is no contract its on month to month . Though i have had no issues with Telkom (so far touch wood) so no reason for me to change SP's. I never signed anything and i checked with Telkom a few times they all said the deal is not on a contract.

I'm going to go into the Telkom store and try and get this set up contract free!
 
Telkom tried to get me into the 12 month contract but after grilling a bit and giving up the 3G USB modem they gave in.
Telkom pulled through for the win. Just waiting for an installation date now.
