Tweeted TelkomZA and had my 4MB account up and running within 10 minutes, first time I've ever been genuinely impressed with Telkom, that was as painless as could be.

Die Hoewes in Centurion if anyone is wondering.

Also, told my buddy to do the same thing, but TelkomZA responded telling him his line cannot sync at either 2MB (which he has been on for about a year now) or 4MB, he's always had trouble with his 2MB line though with constant disconnecting and not getting the full speed he should be.

They logged the fault for him so hopefully it gets sorted out now, anyone know what else he can do ?
He lives in the Celtisdal area just acros Ruimte road from Wierdapark.

**** Telkom and their upgrades. I live in a decent area that's less than 5 years old and I must get this ****!

your are link to a mini Dslam that can only handle 4 Mbps because you are to far from the main exchange.

Just to confirm: I have been upgraded from 2Mb to 4Mb line, and I am syncing at 4MB on the router. My ISP is Afrihost and I still have a 2Mb account with them. I did a speedtest just after the upgrade and I was getting 340kbps download, but now I am getting the normal (2Mb) average of around 200kbps.

Does this mean that until Afrihost does something on their side I will still effectively be on 2MB?
