Telkom Speed upgrades

I feel really bad that I have been complaining to telkom when loads of people are still stuck on 1 and 2mbps. However I did Finally got upgraded to a 10mb and is syncing at a 10mb as of yesterday. I don't understand why it wasn't able to sync before considering I live about 100 meters from the actual exchange.

I was still on 2mb this morning (meant to be on 4mb by now) and tried to call in again. I gave up trying to call during the week.

Spoke to a very nice lady who said she needs to complete the upgrade on her side and did something (probably reset port/profile) and then I immediately synced at 4mb happy days.

Your Current Service speed 2 Mbps

Yet the other day it said current was 1MB, so what now :?

You've been upgraded but need a port reset, had the same thing this morning. I phoned 10210 and waited for 35 min, tech did a port reset and I'm now on 2Mbps. Krugersdorp exchange.

Well I see my 2mb -> 4mb upgrade will take longer than expected. My exchange is being upgraded to ISAM. Not sure what that means, guessing its to enable 20/40mbps

I phoned Telkom and was helped by a wonderful lady by the name of Susan. She reset my port and I'm syncing at 2Mbps!!

How do you get to DSL technical support? They used to have an option for it, now it seems you can only log a fault? Do you go option 1 then option 2 (DSL faults)?

Just use the fault one.

Yes Button 1 and then button 2 I think.

Yip - DSL faults. Ask them to reset your port.

Damb, checker says I am on 2meg, got them to reset port but I am still on 1meg. I will try again later or tomorrow.

That ADSL Checker is not to be trusted. I am on 4mb but it says I'm on 2.

Just found out from MWEB to get upped from 1MB too the 2MB data only and they want too charge R160 extra, madness.
