Note that it is upto 8Mbps or 10Mbps. All depends on how ASSIA sees the line. If you have an issue with your line, now is the time to try and get it resolved where possible with Telkom. :)

Lol that's funny because my line is dead. Waiting on them to repair the fault that I logged. Second time in 2 weeks my line is dead...

There's a cable break currently. Many Telkom users affected.

OpenServe cable break affecting IPC and SAIX in Northern and Eastern region. Also affecting Telkom Internet connectivity from Centurion to Rosebank.

Does anyone know if they are only upgrading the line speeds for uncapped customers or for capped customers as well?

Is RPM off his game? I don't remember seeing an article about this here.

Neither do I, but I wasn't going to point it out in case someone said "Here it is. One of the biggest ADSL stories for ages, here on MyBroadband".

No, I found it on techcentral...

You think? It sat on 20 for a year. Never a kilobit faster, nor a kilobit slower. On the day telkom announce this news, the line re-syncs at 22.5. Go figure.
Use to run 10 stable for a year. Got an ASSIA profile, and synced at 12. Was happy, but latency was bad. Promptly asked to be excluded. Now my line is just hiorrible overall with it syncing at 8Mb on a good day.
