Just had vpn lite activated but im not using telkom recommened routers that they have vpn lite software,
has any one been able to setup vpn lite on a non telkom router (billion 7404) and I use a different lan ip range 172.x.x.x, or do i need to buy telkom routers and change my lan ip range?

I tried to look everywhere but the only manuals i can find is using the telkom software and the vpn call center tells me the same thing.

I haven't done a mpls setup before, but have a look at this site, there's a few different guides for different routers there..

I have but all the guides you need to use the telkom utility

I've had a look at the user guide for your router and the info posted by mh348.

It looks to me that you can set the local IP subnet for each of your sites in the vpn lite management site and then substitute those LAN IP ranges in your router configurations.

If your routers are Billion 7404VOG then it has VPN support. You may be able to get it working by following the instructions for the Billion 400G (from the site provided by mh348) for setup via a web interface. If this doesn't work (or if you have another version of the 7404), you will probably have to look at buying supported routers if you wish to continue with VPN-Lite.

I have never used the VPN-Lite product but I have to say, it is not something that I would look at using. It smacks of cheap and nasty and think it would be cheaper and not much harder to roll your own ADSL VPN using cheap routers(like Mikrotik or your Billion) or OpenVPN boxes. ADSL is also not well suited to any mission critical business comms.

eleNet from elephantvpn is much easier to work with...
Connect PC/Mac/iOS/Android/DD-wrt router devices onto your own virtual network
