Yes you can buy a house, but not land. If you want to buy land, you have to go 51%- 49% with a Thai national.
Yes you can, same as above.
Well i work for a South African company, earn in Rands.
They wages are quite low here generally. So my recommendation is work for a SA company and earn in rands and live here.

Generally people live a healthy life here. But smoking laws are the same as in SA.
Smokes are I think R45 a pack.

They also started relaxing laws on Cannabis here. Its becoming a BIG thing here. BIG money to be made

What type on visa are to on or did you marry for a Thai green card?

I came in on a 30 day visa free. Then i applied for a long stay visa.
I then apply for a 90 day visa, cost me about R1500. I can do that for 3x times.
I then return to SA for a check in at the office or to see some family and do it all over again.
They are starting with a working nomad visa. You need to earn more than R60k rand a month to be eligible to qualify. That will allow you 1 years, renewable every year.
