He posted something about a 140k km car so I said he wasn't qualified for this thread. Then he edited his post and mine was deleted... ?
Those are the best kind of cars, where the mileage is way too low for the age.
Ml turned 274M today on a 1000km round trip.
Picked up a small leak from the coolant expansion bottle, and more scary, the master cylinder seals packed up at the top of a hill. Managed to nurse it home, now to find some place that sells the seal kits.
You just need an small aircon/refrigeration pipe bender and flaring kit. Probably easier to get the sample off and take that to a brake specialist and have them make it up.Master cylinder has been refurbed, but while I was bleeding the brakes I found a crack in one of the lines between the cylinder and the abs unit.
Dealer price for a preformed pipe is about a grand, special order from Germany.
Brake guys who did the cylinder reckon it's easy to bend one to shape yourself...so tomorrow, going to see how easy it is to get them off.
Depends how convoluted the pipe isYou just need an small aircon/refrigeration pipe bender and flaring kit. Probably easier to get the sample off and take that to a brake specialist and have them make it up.
