The 200,000+ km thread

Wifes Asta 1998 160iS 506 000km and still going strong.

Sorry I was wrong not 506 000km
Only major things so far:-
Tires
Brakes
Gear selector
Welch plug x 2
Front ball joints
Still pulls well and is lightish on fuel.

What. Those cars are bulletproof (these are the Euro models, right). I had two of them. Not a single issue. The 180iE waaaaay over 200k
Yeah, the Astra F is supposed to be one of the best opel engines in terms of reliability.

No....I was asking out of curiosity to how reliable it has been as a high km car and if any major repair work has been needed lately.

It needs new tyres in next 10k km.
Other than that, I will service at 210k km and maybe look to change the shocks somewhere down the line.

Fuelly stats @ 5.8l / 100km currently as I do a 70km commute every day. Could not be happier as the cabin got nice creature comforts and engine willing as well when you need to push.
Best of all, it cost me about half of your new Tata when I bought it back 2015.

:D
You have to get the punches in when it counts in this anti-French community of mbb.
