The 200,000+ km thread

2005 Ranger, its a Mazda actually just re-branded to Ford.
 
2004 Subaru WRX, going on 200k soon (ouch big service)
Touch wood, she's still in one piece, never needed to open the engine for nada

My Hyundai i30 is on around 245'000km still. Haven't put as many miles on it this year, and as a result the battery is a bit tired after this winter that we had.

It's still the original one from when the car was manufactured (2011) so not too bad, all things considered.
 
At the rate I'm going, I will only be posting here in 11 years time :crylaugh:

Wiring loom between engine and firewall had an issue. Cost me R200 to fix at an auto electrician. I was also going through light bulbs like crazy. But again the auto electrician sorted it out.
 
Just hit 220 000km on my 2010 Mk7 Fiesta 1.6, recently did my cambelt, fan belt, water pump, tappets, radiator fan. Car has been faithful, still pulls. Started servicing it myself. Not really planning on selling anytime soon.

I've got the first edition mk7, 8.5 years old, only 97k on her. Servicing myself now too. Did cambelt last year at a mere 95k km. Never had a days trouble and I use to drive that car like I stole it. Had free petrol at the time since I used it for work. Clutch slips now and again when it's cold and I pull away slowly slightly riding the clutch as a result of all the hard launches I used to do to keep up with my 2L friends I have the 1.4 btw.

Solid car really.
 
I'm currently sitting on 268k kms on my newly acquired 2002 Honda Ballade/Civic. Its not just about getting to this mileage, its how the car feels at this mileage.

I bought this second hand and it is clear the previous owner was absolutely meticulous in caring for it. At this mileage the ride is solid, there is not a rattle or squeak. Everything works as expected from the aircon to the electric mirrors.

I think this is one of the reasons why the second hand market goes gagga for Toyotas and Hondas. People ask STUPID money for cars that have a Jap badge on the front of it.
 
It'll be nice to mention where you guys service your vehicles. We all looking for reputable service centers , which are scarce nowadays ...
 
I serviced my Hyundai at Hyundai until the warranty expired.

I do it myself nowadays as per the schedule. The parts I get at Midas and they are well priced. My KLR650 (nowhere near 200k km though) I also service myself.
