The 200,000+ km thread

What does the handbook show & other dedicated Getz forum threads?
no idea, some say it should be there, others say no,

anyway the Getz shipped to SA come equipped differently than overseas model's, and nobody talks about what does and doesn't come on on the dashboard test.

I'm thinking it could be differences in years vs anything broken, but another fellow Getz owner hasn't told me what it should be doing or not, so no clue.

On the one hand, if it's gotten to that mileage, it must be reliable(ish)

On the other hand, it was sold to WBC, which is never a good sign.

On the other other hand, a 20+ year old German car with half a mill on the odo is a very, very hard pass for me.
500k on 320d is fine, but thats not 320d :(

Muzi is pushing the envelope on how brave he is.

The engine and gearbox on Audi 2L NA should be reliable to get to that mileage but no idea about suspension cooling system etc

My 211 000km Chev Aveo may be on its last legs, apparently when a car has some engine sump compression you should start looking at a new car?

I am not a car expert though

Depends what is causing the compression issues, which engine dies it use, the Opel Sohc or the other one?

Not bad for 5/6 year old vehicle although I am not sure about R360k
