The 200,000+ km thread

My Toyota Hilux which I posted about ~6 years ago when it was new (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/117550-My-first-car!) has just hit 250k KM , still going strong. Was even in a pretty rough accident with it when my bro who was driving fell asleep :p - tore down about 100m of road side fencing, but Hilux's don't just stop working.. ;) - that was about 100k KM ago.

We expect to do a couple more 100k at least, no plans of replacing it any time soon.

That is impressive! I know of a '83 Corolla that has less than 20,000km on the clock, one old lady owner that still drives it twice monthly for a 20km trip at a time.
 
I have a Quantum which currently has 420k on the clock. What makes it more impressive is that its only 8 years old :D

OK, not fair to compare that to a "regular" vehicle as it does about 250 km's per day, every day.
 
My Honda Ballade Luxline 1996 I have is at 239'000 at the moment, of which I put on around 25'000km. I also had a 1996 Colt bakkie that had 399'400km on, but I sold it last week so I didn't see it go over the magic 400K mark. That said, it did receive a new gearbox in January as the main shaft grenaded itself and took the housing and a handful of bearings with it. I put on around 10'000km as it was waaaay too heavy on juice to keep :(

It used to belong to the brickmakers here in PE and it hauled a lot of stuff in its life :D
 
The 256Mm Merc just happily towed a keelboat from harties to the Vaal. :-D
 
In the pre-OPC and post-GSI days that was the performance model. It did not come with DTM wheels though... Anyways, lets see some other 200,000km cars that people thought would never make it.
