The 2016 Way Less Objectivity thread

At last 'n bit of movement - down to 86.
I decided to add cycling to my exercise routine and got as far as the estate main gate, I struggled with the remote to lift the boom, pulled the front brake and did a faceplant on the tar. So the bike is safe in the garage at the moment and I stick to walking.

OK so I just discovered this thread.

I started at a whopping 147 Kilos on Saturday, 9th January.
By Saturday, 16th January I was down to 141 kilos.
Will see how much more I have lost when I go swim at the gym tonight.

So weighed this morning and Im on 84.3KG now.

My GP advised that I should not eat before I get on the bike in the mornings. He also said I should only eat something and/or drink something other than water after about an hour of training.

Not sure if training on an empty stomach is a good idea. Your thoughts?

6 kilos in 7 days? Did you fast for 7 days straight or take a massive dump?

Nope, I've cut out all carbs and sugar and swimming 40 lengths at the Virgin Active pool every other day.

EDIT: Oh, and I had a kidney stone the week before... that helped to kick me off.

That must have been one beast of a stone ;) BTW well done.

Ive tried swimming at the active virgin, but it made me feel seriously crappy when small kids did double the laps in half the time... little energetic monsters

Thanks, let's hope I can keep up the momentum!
I swam competitively throughout school, so even though I have the physique of a Beluga whale, I can still move through the water pretty well!
Pity about all the unfortunate people caught in the wake! :D
The stone was 4mm, but I managed to pass it by itself.

heh. I only got morphine after i'd been in hospital 4 hours.
It makes me vomit but I don't care.

The stone woke me up around 5 am on Monday, 4th Jan.
My wife got me to the hospital by 7:30 am.
I think I was given some Tramacet or Pethedine around 8 am, now sure which.
Later in the afternoon I got a shot of morphine and passed it out of the kidney around 5pm.

God what's up with all these thread name changes???
Mods, are you actually allowing this? Makes it difficult to find the thread and update thread members...

Anyway, I lost a kg in a week but I need to up my protein uptake.

Hell no, was in serious pain, couldn't stand up straight or walk. After about a hour in the waiting room, took a very big syringe of syline mixed with the morphine, connected it to my arm and wheeled me up to the ward. Every 10sec or so ( I think, not clear ), they would squeeze the syringe. By the time I got to the ward, was on cloud 9 and felt nothing, passed out minutes later, wife couldn't even make it out the room before I was gone.
