The 2016 Way Less Objectivity thread

86.5kg But I don't know if I could trust my scale, but at least it should be a relative indication of loss or increase.

yeh, when a scale is wrong, it should be consistently wrong at least.... so when you weigh yourself three times in a row, is it the same every time?

If not, time for a new scale.

115KG in December (around the 7th I started).
102KG as of yesterday.

Not strictly following a banting eating plan, just avoiding carbs altogether along with sugar drinks. Mainly eating protein, chicken/steak/chops etc... Drinking tons of water, skip meals ever now and then (breakfast or dinner depending on my level of hunger). Been very active since Dec 7th though, indoor soccer, gym, running, squash etc. Goal is 85KG.

I'll add you to the OP, welcome.

OP updated.

Will in the next week or so do a little clean up and get rid of the people from the OP that aren't participating anymore.

I am still stuck at around 94kg.

Just told my wife that I will start moving away from any carb foods gradually. The two things I eat a lot is hot chocolate and slap chips.

In January I changed my weekend drink from brandy and coke to whisky and water or wine.
So I guess the slap chips(will replace with veg) and hot choc will be what I get rid of in February.

Red wine has a ton of kjs. I would stay away from wine altogether. Better yet, drop all alcohol. I chose to stop drinking and instead have more of the foods I love. Coke and hot chocolate should have been the first things to go. The amount of sugar in those drinks have enough kjs to feed a nation like Somalia. Hehe

It's not only about what you eat. Portion control is just as important. A good rule is to eat until you are 80% full - assuming you are eating a well balanced diet (lean protein / complex carbs, etc).

If you eat a real well balanced diet (Low Carb High Fat) you don't have to exercise portion control, your body will do it for you.

The one thing I enjoy having a drink with my friends so not dropping alcohol completely. I only drink every second weekend will try to keep it to whisky and water to stay on the healthier side.

Agreeing 100% with the coke and hot chocolate thing. Hot chocolate is my addiction and free at my work so the evil is close.

I usually eat slap chips about 1 or 2 times a week. This is really bad, I know. Living in the city close to all these lekker food places is not good. hahaha

Question : the people doing LCHF diets, do you guys cut out fruit completely? I know fruit has it's own sugars and carbs so was wondering about this.

Well, you are better equipped to have a sense of how much to eat, but there is nothing whatsoever stopping you from over-eating regardless.

Hi. New to the thread.

Starting (1 Dec 2015) with 91.5
Today 82.6
Goal 75.0

Just doing banting & weight training twice a week. No cardio, apart from my normal day-to-day activities.

Highveld Stereo!

what went wrong?

Haha I thought the same thing.

It looks like I'm gaining muscle which is adding to the weight plus I ate a bit more than usual on Monday and Tuesday when I gained control of myself again. But I've been good at going to the gym so I'll see results. :)
