The 2016 Way Less Objectivity thread

12000 kj = 3000 kCal

Note, some people talk about kCalories as Calories

That is still a lot. I burn 800-900 Kcal (3200-3600kCal) / hour running. My average calorie burn per day is 2300kCal, over a week, including exercise (5-6 hours a week). That 12000kj is too high IMHO.

3000 Calories is way too much for most people to lose weight. I would probably see a weight gain on 3000.

Ok, so I checked a few other sites.

I think 2000 Calories or (8000 Kj) is more realistic every week to lose weight.

Even then, that still gives me about 5500 Kj for dinner every night.... while drinking the shakes during the day.
Obviously I'm not going to eat that, so this should be quite attainable.

You need to work out your TDEE, then work on a diet that has you consuming a deficit of calories.

What's in the shake?

Weighed myself tonight, and managed to break through the 75kg mark, sitting at 74.8kg at the moment. Very chuffed :)
Will spend time on maintaining it, not wanting to lose any more. Want to now start toning more, knowing full-well I have a couple of little fat deposits that can still go.

So that makes it 9kg in 7 months.

I'm staying between 97 and 100kg for now. Not really to motivated to drop lower, but keep my snacking and carbs in check to stay here.

8000 is a good place to start. I think I was at a similar level when I started 2 years ago (130 kg). You shouldn't have a problem sticking to that.

Ah, so this is weird, after a good haircut and straight weekend, I managed to get to 119kgs :D ? How the hell is that.

Was plateauing for a while and the actual drop is about a kg or so, so not unexpected but days earlier than I thought.

Exercise regime went for a serious dive. Torn my calf muscle so no running for the past 2 weeks. :( Luckily still under 88kg. 85,5kg this morning. Very disciplined on the diet.

Fixed weight
