The 2016 Way Less Objectivity thread

Thanks for the feedback, I'm on day 10 and doing just fine, I'll weigh tomorrow morning, I definatly lost centimeters so will see how much weight I lost so far, my first micro goal is getting under 130.

If I may ask, are you doing any exercise while on this plan, what is your general day like, do you walk around a lot doing your work or do you sit behind a computer all day?

Hi, I am curious as to what your starting weight was, so please share if you don't mind.

During round 1, we did no additional exercise; now during round 2, my wife discovered the "1 mile walk" on youtube, where you basically walk forward and backward like an idiot in your living room and try to keep up with the auntie (Leslie Sansone is her name) on tv for about 15 minutes at a time. She does it twice a day and I only join the evening session. It's not really intense, but is something at least.

Sorry for the late reply fannie, was in meetings most of last two days and networking after. Think the idea of a open ended spreadsheet is a good one, one thing though is how will you work the days? Keto challenge has set periods for the six weeks unless we just list all 52 weeks and folks update the current one at the time?

I was thinking of doing 4 weeks at a time, starting on a Monday going through the last weeks Friday for final weigh in, then saturday, sunday off, and then start with the next challenge on the monday... e.g.

Challenge 1:
Start Date/Weigh-in Date: 09/01/2017
Week 1 Weigh In: 13/01/2017
Week 2 Weigh In: 20/01/2017
Week 3 Weigh In: 27/01/2017
End Date/Week 4 Weigh In: 03/02/2017

Off Days: 04/02/2017; 05/02/2017

Challenge 2:
Start Date/Weigh-in Date: 09/01/2017
Week 1 Weigh In: 06/01/2017
Week 2 Weigh In: 10/01/2017
Week 3 Weigh In: 17/01/2017
End Date/Week 4 Weigh In: 24/02/2017

Off Days: 25/02/2017; 26/02/2017

My cholestrol was 7.7 when I started lchf. 18months later it was down to 6.6

That's good. Funnily, mine is also 6.6 right now. It was 7.52 when I tested in July.

We still have a *** long way to go, though. And I've started taking cholesterol pills now as well, which should help.

eish, everyone tells me those pills are poison.... i'll rather do it naturally. Especially if it's already at 6.6 and falling....

Almost as high as mine was. Scared the **** out of me, especially after reading about what it really means - and indeed could mean.

some people are just prone to higher cholestrol, ie. chronic issue. If you are one of those, then I'm afraid medication is the only way to go, but still keep doing the healthy lifestyle.

Its in the genes. Thanks

Will do a good workup at the doctor in Jan. This was for vitality.

Looks like it's hereditary on my mom's side since hers is also quite high, and she's quite healthy. Also the fact that it was low the year before and then suddenly went up means that it wasn't just lifestyle probably.

I'm also scared of the pills, only took 2 in like 5 days so far. If I go forward with it, it will definitely not be for long term unless my cholesterol doesn't improve enough.

I've heard that once you go on it, you can't go off it..... but not sure if that's just hearsay.
